Microblading - What is it ?

Eyebrows are crucial to our appearance and facial expression. But most of the time the eyebrows are thin or barely present. If you are looking for a new natural look for your eyebrows, microblading is the ideal method.

Microblading is an old Asian technique which is becoming more and more popular as an alternative to the established permanent make-up.

It is a semi-permanent make-up technique and allows the correction of the eyebrow shape as well as the complete reconstruction of lost or unusual eyebrows. The difference to permanent make-up is that in microblading the colour is pigmented manually into the skin and therefore no machines are used.

In the process, pigments are placed in the upper layers of the skin to achieve the desired fullness and shape of the eyebrows. The cosmetician traces the finest hairs with blades arranged side by side. The blades glide over the skin with gentle pressure. This results in many micro cuts, which are so fine that the drawn hairs can hardly be differentiate from the real hairs.

Semi-permanent eyebrows are one of the benefits of microblading, considering how skin changes with age, and eyebrow trends can differ with time. The eyebrow shape and colour can be adapted to fit changes in skin and eyebrow trends.

How long does Microblading last?

Unfortunately it is not possible to give an exact prognosis, because the skin condition of each person is individual. Basically it can be said that the pigmentation is maintained for about 18 months with a follow-up treatment.          It does not disappear completely, but fades and can be refreshed afterwards. However, one is not forced to refresh the hair because the faded hairs are optically behind the existing eyebrows.

The results look very natural, independent of the amount of hairs you have. Thus this method is ideal for all who want to improve the appearance of their eyebrows. It is also ideal for those who suffer from alopecia or have lost all their hair after chemotherapy.
