   Brow lamination for catwalk eyebrows

What is Brow Lamination?

How do you get fuller brows without Microblading?

Brow lamination, also known as brow sculpt or brow lift, consists of a technique of redesigning the brow hairs to keep them in a required shape.

Born in Moscow about three years ago, subsequently it spread across Europe and now is gaining more and more success in the States and the rest of the world.

This treatment allows you to have the illusion of fuller and more defined eyebrows and gives the effect of brilliantly hard-wearing brow gel, where the term lamination comes from.

This wonderful brow extension effect leaves your client with a supermodel look that lasts up to 10 weeks, until eyebrow hairs grow out. We do not recommend giving the treatment more than once in this time period.

The process can be charged between £40 and £50 and is suitable for all hair types, but obviously there are different benefits:

  • For those who have plenty of brow hairs it helps to fix thick hairs in one place
  • For those who have finer brows it helps brows appear fuller and in addition its useful to cover sparse areas.

The brow lamination procedure takes 30 minutes and it consists of two treatments.

  1. During the first one the artist will brush trough eyebrows hairs to make them softer; then brows will be covered in a plastic wrap for 7 minutes.
  2. In the second treatment brows will be placed into the desired shape by applying a specific solution.

Usually the operation finishes with painting a tint, but in cases where brows are already very dark this action is skipped.

At first, after the treatment, brows can seem very huge, but don’t worry: it is a common! Once you learn how to brush them to make them look the way you want, it will be a piece of cake!

Some Salons guarantee brows post-treatment, by providing nourishing serum for hydration. However there are some natural methods such as coconut oil or castor oil.

Difference to Microblading

Brow Lamination gives an instant brow lift that is similar to microblading one. In fact we think this would be an excellent addition to your skill set as a Technician and your microblade supplies equipment range.

The main difference between them is there are no pigments added, because it does not work on the skin, but on hairs.

Mostly we suggest this type of treatment for those who consider microblading painful. It is possible to remind potential clients that the process in itself does not hurt, thanks to the use of numbing agent, if you choose to use one. Brow Lamination could be a good option for those who suffer from Anxiety because it allows you to keep their eyes open during the procedure.
